2 Corinthians 6:11 - Additional Comments

Paul and his fellow ministers had wide open hearts. This indicates 2 things. One, there was no hidden agenda. What they saw externally was also what was going on internally. They had no ulterior motive - they were truly there to minister to the Corinthians. Two, their heart was vulnerable. By being honest and open, there is always risk, because those seeing it might not like what they see.
Prov 17:28 "Even a fool is counted wise when he holds his peace; When he shuts his lips, he is considered perceptive."
"Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt" (unknown)
When silent, you may have everyone as your friend, but when vocal, you reveal opinions, and thus divide the listeners into friend and foe.
Paul asked the Corinthians to take that same risk (vs 13), and receive the blessings of having an open heart.
