Unleavened bread shall be eaten seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with thee, neither shall there be leaven seen with thee in all thy quarters.

Exodus 13:7 - Additional Comments

The way they removed leaven is how we are to remove sin. There must be none present, so none can be seen. It shall be completely removed. There needs to be a search for it, so it can be completely removed. Do we search our lives for sin in the same way? (See 1 Cor 5:7-8)
