But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand.

But the noble, openhearted, {and} liberal man devises noble things; and he stands for what is noble, openhearted, {and} generous.

But the noble deviseth noble things; and in noble things shall he continue.

But the noble-hearted man has noble purposes, and by these he will be guided.

But the noble deviseth noble things; and to noble things doth he stand.

But he who is noble plans noble things, and on noble things he stands.
