James 5:15 - Additional Comments

In a time of sickness, it is not the cold and formal prayer that is effectual, but the prayer of faith. And this prayer of faith, both by the person praying and the person prayed for, will bring salvation to the afflicted.
In conjunction with the previous verse, one technique to draw God's goodness for healing is when the praying person has anointed the sick with oil, and then prays in faith.
The person is receiving both spiritual and physical healing, for he will be raised up, and his sins will be forgiven.
