Job 1:10

Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.

This is encouraging - God does place hedges, to protect us from evil. Satan can only do or go as far as God allows. But be careful not to demand blessings from God as just reward for faithful service. God loves to give us the desires of our heart (Ps 37:4), but for different reasons may choose to work in our lives in a different way.
