John 13:1

Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

It is not that Jesus didn't love those who weren't His own, but He had a special love for those who were His own.
His love never failed for them. His love will never fail for us. In fact, true love will never fail (1 Cor 13:8).
