John 6:2 - Additional Comments

Christ continually traveled with a crowd, and probably had difficulty getting time alone. Yet, as He found times to be alone (verse 15, Matt 14:23), we need to make sure we take time out from our busy schedules to make time for Him.
Notice the patience Jesus has with all the people pressuring Him (and all the other pressures, like from the Pharisees). When the pressures of life build, and it seems tough to just keep maintaining a good attitude, and to keep doing what needs to be done, look at Jesus, and rely on Jesus for strength. You may get to a point where you just want to exit ("Exit the Rainmaker"), or withdraw, but let Jesus guide you and strengthen you. Take time with Him and tell Him how you feel. Never give up. Not liike "Never Give Up, Inc.", whose web site is no longer active -- and supposedly the company is the same.
These people were not coming to Jesus because of who He was, but because of the miracles, the sensationalism, much the same way people slow down to see traffic accidents. They also were coming for selfish reasons -- they wanted better health, and He was a healer. Why do you go to Jesus? We need to transition our relationship with God to seeking Him because of who He is, worthy of honor and obedience, rather than the One who will meet our physical needs. Jesus points this out later, that they had been coming to get physical needs met, when they should have been coming for spiritual needs (6:47-51).
I find it amazing that people didn't so marvel at what Jesus was doing that they would ask who He was, and seek to pay strict attention to what He was saying. Maybe they had seen so many false prophets and other charlatans, or maybe they had followed others who turned out to be false, that they were insensitive.
