Joshua 5:14 - Additional Comments
God was letting Joshua know that He was preparing to lead him and Israel into battle. Even though Joshua was the leader of Israel, God was letting Joshua know who his leader was, and who he would get instructions and leadership from. Every leader must remember that they need to get their instructions and leadership from God first. Then, they can lead who they rule over (or manage). Every leader should be asking this same question, "What does my Lord say to His servant?" The presence of one leader dedicated to God can give the victory - 2 Kings 5:1.
