Luke 24:16 - Additional Comments
They were supernaturally restrained from recognizing Jesus. Have you ever been looking for something, and it was right in front of you and you could not see it?
Why did Jesus do this? They could not have had the conversation they had if they had known it was Him.
Have you ever almost forgetten something, and seemingly supernaturally remembered it?
Have you ever forgotten something, wondering why God didn't do something to make you remember?
(Example -- forgetting to give the renters the motor home keys before I drove off. And then happening to pull them out of my pocket before too long.)
God can hide or reveal things supernaturally, always for our benefit.
