Mark 10:40

Jesus didn't bother explaining that their concept of the kingdom of heaven was very wrong, but He brushed it aside with little further explanation.
He did admit that God has a plan, and the plan would be fulfilled as it had already been determined. God will do what God needs to do, and it may mean He has to say No to our requests (like in vs 37), to accomplish His purposes.
