Mark 7:13

Making the word of God of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

Mark 7:13 - Additional Comments

Jesus is saying that bottom line, the heart of the matter, is that the traditions of men, the Pharisees oral law, primarily serves to benefit them, for selfish reasons. What a contrast to the commands of God, that have at their root selflessness, to benefit others.
