Mark 8:15 - Additional Comments
Jesus is telling them not to get sucked into their false way of thinking and living. We are charged with the same challenge today, as there is so much errant way of thinking and living that can suck us in. We are constantly bombarded with this false way. How do you avoid it? Get grounded in the Word, the Truth. It is the only way. Without knowledge of the Word and the Truth in it, how can you know?
Is it a true barometer of your succumbing to the world by how much you are familiar with the Word of God? If that is true, where are you, and what are your plans to improve that? Note that you do not have to have a perfect knowledge of the Word and its Truth, but just tell me what are you feeding on, what progress are you making? You are a product of what you feed on.
