Philemon 1:2 - Additional Comments

Philemon, apparently wealthy, still had a strong awareness of who he was in Christ. Note his ministry to the Christians in Colossae in holding a church in his home. It must have been an ongoing, regular church, because it lasted over time and was even known by Paul and Timothy. He also had a strong daith, and strong love for Jesus and for believers (vs 5). It sounds like he also regularly shared his faith (vs 6). His love for the saints was well known, and a real encouragement to other believers (vs 7).
