Proverbs 27:6 - Additional Comments

Do true friends ignore each others failures or point them out? Both, actually. There are times for each. Whichever we do, we must be seeking the best for our friend.
May I wound my friend when needed. How difficult this is to do. May I never compromise, or remain silent in cowardice, when my friend needs my blows.
What a friend God is to us, how He is always faithful to wound us when we need it - sometimes with a toothpick, sometimes with a 2 x 4.
Do you allow others to be true friends to you, or do they know that you are unapproachable? Do you put up walls because you don't want wounds? Or because you know there are some areas to work on, and you don't want to work on them? Do you avoid deep friendships because of this?
