The Lord has answered the author's prayers, and he is thankful. This is a psalm of thankfulness.
Within Jewish tradition, this is part of the Egyptian Hallel, a series of six psalms (Ps 113-118) that were chanted during the Passover celebration. Because these were using in Passover, this may have been the hymn that Jesus and the apostles sang during the last supper (Matt 26:30).
Was Jesus a good singer? Did He have a good voice? What skills did Jesus, as a human have to learn, and what did He, as God, not have to learn? Did he have to learn carpentry? Did he have to learn Scripture? Maybe He just learned really fast. Jesus at 12 years old - "Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions." (Luke 2:46) Jesus had to learn some spiritual concepts. He may have just absorbed them immediately. He may have had to learn like we do, but God may have personally taught Him along the way.
