"Great" - means exceedingly above, far greater than. Far greater than what? Anything else. He is the creator of all (Col 1:16). This is the One whom we have a relationship with. His greatness is so vast we can never even get close to exploring the depths of it. If you see God in this light, how can you not but praise Him, for He is greatly to be praised! We just stand in awe of Him, marveling at Him in the small way we can see his greatness, and praise Him.
