There are 3 areas of thought in this psalm, the first, verses 1-6, marveling at the creation, the second, verses 7-11, marveling at the scriptures, and the third, verses 12-14, pleading with God to keep us from sin. We see here how we first get to know God, by what we see in His creation. We are then converted through His word, and discipled through it. Then, with God's strength, we avoid sin, and are cleansed when we do.
