Psalm 19:12 - Additional Comments

The psalmist is asking God for freedom and cleaning from secret, bold (vs 13), and unknown (vs 14) sins. Ah, the secret sins, that so many, if not everyone, harbors inside them. Do you have secret sins? I would ask you to tell me about them, but you won't, understandably. They are hurtful, embarrassing, and possibly ongoing. They remain secret, because with the knowledge of them, a person can be destroyed, defamed, injured. People do not handle the knowledge of others faults very well.
Can you be loving enough that when you know of another person's sin, you don't tell a soul? Most cannot. Be that person.
What secret sins do you harbor inside you? Tell me about the battle to fight them. Are you winning or losing that battle? What are you doing about it? Rare is the person who has the courage, the strength, to fight secret sins with all God has available. As I discuss this you are thinking of at least one of these. Do you have the courage to fight it as God would have you fight it? I doubt it. If you don't, you cannot have all the peace and success that God wants for you. You cannot! Determine now to have that courage.
