And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

Translations

Arpachshad was the father of Shelah, Shelah of Eber.

And Arpachshad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

And Arpachshad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah was the father of Eber.

Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber.

And Arphaxad begat Shelah, and Shelah begat Eber.

Y Arfaxad engendrò a Sela, y Sela engendrò a Heber.

Arphaxad had Shelah and Shelah had Eber. Eber had two sons: Peleg (Division) because in his time the earth was divided up; his brother was Joktan.

Arpachshad became the father of Shelah and Shelah became the father of Eber.
