1 Corinthians 3:1 - The Message
But for right now, friends, Im completely frustrated by your unspiritual dealings with each other and with God. Youre acting like infants in relation to Christ, capable of nothing much more than nursing at the breast. Well, then, Ill nurse you since you dont seem capable of anything more. As long as you grab for what makes you feel good or makes you look important, are you really much different than a babe at the breast, content only when everythings going your way? When one of you says, "Im on Pauls side," and another says, "Im for Apollos," arent you being totally infantile?

1 Corinthians 3:1 - Additional Comments
What things differentiate a babe in Christ with a mature Christian? See Titus 2:2-8.
How long have you been a Christian?
On the scale of babe to maturity, where would you place yourself?
If you are still a babe, why? If you are more mature, are you watering (verse 6) in someone else's life? We need to disciple young Christians, or they will stay babes forever.
Many who have been around the Christian faith for a while don't want to make the effort to disciple. It takes energy, and many are tired, and may feel they need discipling themselves. It is difficult to grow unless you have someone to draw you up (Acts 8:30-31). We should be in both discipler and disciple relationships (2 Tim 2:2).
Remember God causes the growth (verses 6-7).
