Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

See also verse 4. The house being built is a spiritual house, like the Jewish temple, except living. Those who may enter are the priests, and all Christians are part of the priesthood, all are part of the temple, the house. As priests, all are to offer a spiritual sacrifice - our bodies, souls, affections, prayers, praises, and other duties.
