Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.

By calling him "lord", she publicly displays her submission. Interesting that ladies don't mind submission to a boss publicly, but fear public submission to their husband (of course, it's because of how the world reacts to both).
