1 Samuel 10:6 - Additional Comments

God will transform Saul into more of who he should be in his devotion and obedience to God. This is also described as God giving Saul a new heart (10:9).
2 Cor 5:17 reads "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." This is similar to what will happen to Saul.
We too have transformed into a new person. We have the mind of Christ (1 Cor 2:16), so how can we not be new?
Yes, at the same time, Romans 12:2 says we are to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This transformation needs to be a radical change, a move in the opposite direction. How? Take a look a what you spend your time on, and what God wants you to spend time on - Prov 4:23-27, Phil 4:8, Josh 1:8, Psalm 1:1-3. Remember that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge (Psa 111:10, Prov 1:7), so the transformation can't take place until you have a proper fear of God.
We, too, can be like Saul, transformed by God into a new person. This is the person we need to be, we must be moving towards, to have the life God wants us to have.
