And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself.

What does it mean to be a burden to someone? They are carrying your load in some way, they are helping you... and they feel the weight of carrying it. The weight is heavy to them.
What might we consider burdens? Have you had someone who burdened you with things?
Interesting that you can help someone out, but your perspective on how that is affecting you makes it a burden. You can sacrifice everything for someone else, but yet not see it as a burden. Or, you can do something small for someone else, and feel inconvenienced, so it becomes a burden.
What Paul is saying here is that he didn't want anyone to help him, because they might consider it a burden. Notice the Macedonians had helped Paul, but Paul knew their heart, in that even though they gave in much affliction and poverty (8:1-2), it was still a joy for them to help Paul.
It's kind of funny, because you are only a burden to someone if they are helping you and their heart is not into it.
So, let me ask again, who burdens you? Instead of a burden, maybe it could be viewed as a ministry.
