These are not things we know by what we see, but by what we believe. No one has seen God nor can they (1 Tim 6:16), but yet we have joy as we look to the end of our faith, our salvation (1 Pet 1:8-9).
Note that faith without sight is for this world, but site will be for the next world. We now walk by faith, but soon we will walk by sight.
Compare to the difference between closing our eyes, and what we experience, vs. opening our eyes, and what we see. Actually, it's closer to having been born blind, not even knowing the magnificence of what it's like to see.
