2 Kings 18:29 - Additional Comments

In the verses 29-35 we see those from Assyria mocking King Hezekiah's call to trust in the Lord, and an offer of deceptive desirable things. This is so like the voices we hear today, moking anything to do with a belief in God and a steadfast trust in Jesus. Yet, it is we who will prevail in the end (like they experienced with Assyria - vs 19:35), even though it may seem all is against us. May we respond as the Hebrews did, by not giving in (vs 36).
