Note Paul says "brethren". He is identifying with them, from one Jew to another. Quite a contrast from vs 41.
For all his sermon, this here is the central message, this is what all the rest is for, to get to this point. This is the heart of the message.
What a terrific presentation of the gospel. He certainly had fulfilled what God asks, that we be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks (1 Peter 3:15).
