Acts 18:17

Then all the Greeks took Sosthenes, the chief ruler of the synagogue, and beat him before the judgment seat. And Gallio cared for none of those things.

Acts 18:17 - Additional Comments

Either Sosthenes was the same as Crispus (vs 18:8), or in the year and a half since then he had succeeded him in that office. If not the same man, then both had become believers (see 1 Cor. 1:1).
