Acts 20:24

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Wow. The chains and tribulations (vs 23) do not move Paul, since he is focused on running and finishing the race. He was given a commission by God, and he was myopically focused on that. See also 21:13-14.
What would it take for us to have that focus?
