Acts 24:14

But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

But this I confess to you, however, that in accordance with the Way [of the Lord], which they call a [heretical, division-producing] sect, I worship (serve) the God of our fathers, still persuaded of the truth of {and} believing in {and} placing full confidence in everything laid down in the Law [of Moses] {or} written in the prophets;

Paul in his healing of the person who died verified the words he spoke, and now he verifies the continued validity of the Old Testament. Jesus is not the negation of the Old Testament, but the fulfillment.
