Amos 1:11 - Additional Comments

Edom was south of the Dead Sea, about 35 miles. Edom was the tribe which came from Esau, brother of Jacob. They were perpetual enemies of Israel. They were merciless and hateful in their dealings with Israel.
They are being reproved for a revengeful spirit. Like Gaza and Tyre, God will destroy the Edom cities of Teman and Bozrah.
