This reminds me of the reality shows on TV, how at the end only one receives the prize by being selected. She won the competition. I wonder if the king's eunuch (Hegai) gave her special information, seeing her beauty, to help her win the prize. I expect her character made her even more beautiful than she would have been without it. Also, God may have enhanced her beauty in the eyes of all who saw her, so His purpose would be accomplished.
What a rags to riches story! It reminds me of the 80-90 Horatio Alger stories, written from 1856 to 1910, of the boy that worked his way to success despite many challenges. But we forget, that is not success in God's eyes. Their success was in their faith and how God used them for His people and His purposes, not in their position on earth.
Note that God regularly uses unlikely people in unusual situations for His purposes (e.g. Moses, Noah, David, Mary, etc.). How about you? What can He do in your life?
