Esther 3:1

After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, and advanced him, and set his seat above all the princes that were with him.

Esther 3:1 - Additional Comments

Haman's superstitions made him select a "lucky day" for the destruction of the Jews. Fortunately for the Jews, the day selected was 11 months away.
God has alwasy beein in control of world events. We see how the events of Mordecai and of Esther, really independent of each other, came together for God's purpose. See Isaiah 45, and:
- Acts 17:26 "And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings,
- Acts 17:27 "so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us;
