Exodus 1:10 - Additional Comments

I wonder why the king felt the children of Israel might align themselves with the enemy. I expect that since the Israelites stayed to themselves, and intermarried among themselves, the Egyptians never felt they were being socially or politically accepted by the Israelites. Also, the Israelites would revere God above the pharaoh, so their heart was not in obedience.
The Egyptians felt they dealt wisely, but as with any evil, it is never wise, and never comes to a good end. The paradox is that they felt they acted wisely when it was the opposite.
Look at what they feared - the Israelites - not realizing the One they had wronged the most, the Lord their God, was truly the One to fear, for He was the One that took care of the Israelites and eventually defeated Egypt.
