God spoke to Moses: "Tell the Israelites to turn around and make camp at Pi Hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea. Camp on the shore of the sea opposite Baal Zephon.

They were already travelling (12:37), and were at the edge of the wilderness (13:18). How did Moses get time alone with God? It would seem very difficult to do. Jesus would also make time alone with God (Matt 14:23). Jesus needed time with God, Moses needed time with God - you may not realize how desperately you need time alone with God. When is the next time you plan to be alone with God?
