Exodus 15:25 - Additional Comments

Note that God did not provide the water when they first had the need. They had practically run out of water. God doesn't guarantee abundance. He doesn't even guarantee enough to satisfy. So, what are God's guarantees? He guaranteed to the Israelites: (see also vs 26)
Exo 6:7 "I will take you as My people, and I will be your God. Then you shall know that I am the LORD your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians."
What does he guarantee to us:
1. If we believe (trust) in Jesus, we are free from the penalty of sin (Acts 13:38-39).
2. Victory over death (1 Cor 15:53-57) - in an incorruptible body - no more sin or pain.
3. He will supply every need (Phil 4:19)
4. "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." (2 Cor 12:9) - God's works His work best in our weak areas.
5. Temptation need not overcome us (1 Cor 10:13); there is a way out of every temptation, provided by God.
6. God will work all of our circumstances for good, no matter what the source of the circumstances (Rom 8:28).
What other guarantees are we given through our faith in Christ?
Note that this was to inconvenience them - this was a test! See Deut 8.
