Genesis 41:16 - Additional Comments

Joseph makes it clear where the interpretation would come from, even before he knows what the dream is. Joseph has made it clear that any success that comes through Him is from God, just as he had with Potiphar (Gen 39:3) and the chief jailer (Gen 39:23).
The challenge we have is to make it clear to others that any success we have at work or home is only to be credited to God - especially during review processes.
But we need to have the viewpoint of John the Baptist, when he said he was to decrease, and Christ was to increase (John 3:30). In every situation, we should remember, He must increase, and I must decrease. This is especially true with how you treat your wife - Christ must increase, and you must decrease.
Notice how Joseph was not intimidated by the stature and power of the Pharaoh. Talk about confidence in God! He truly valued how people saw God rather than how they saw him. Most of the time we become nervous in front of an individual or individuals because we are concerned with what people will think of us. It is pride. Set yourself aside.
Note that great gifts seem even greater when received or used with humility.
