Moreover, wine {and} {wealth} are treacherous; the proud man [the Chaldean invader] is restless {and} cannot stay at home. His appetite is large like that of Sheol and [his greed] is like death and cannot be satisfied; he gathers to himself all nations and collects all people as if he owned them.

Habakkuk 2:5 - American Standard Version

Yea, moreover, wine is treacherous, a haughty man, that keepeth not at home; who enlargeth his desire as Sheol, and he is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all peoples.

Habakkuk 2:5 - La Biblia de las Americas

Además, el vino traiciona al hombre arrogante,
de modo que no se queda en casa.
Porque ensancha su garganta (O, apetito) como el Seol (I.e., regiòn de los muertos),
y es como la muerte, que nunca se sacia;
reùne para sì todas las naciones,
y recoge para sì todos los pueblos.

Habakkuk 2:5 - The Message

"Note well: Money deceives.
   The arrogant rich don’t last.
They are more hungry for wealth
   than the grave is for cadavers.
Like death, they always want more,
   but the ’more’ they get is dead bodies.
They are cemeteries filled with dead nations,
   graveyards filled with corpses.
Don’t give people like this a second thought.
   Soon the whole world will be taunting them:

Habakkuk 2:5 - New American Standard Bible

"Furthermore, wine betrays the haughty man, So that he does not stay at home. He enlarges his appetite like Sheol, And he is like death, never satisfied. He also gathers to himself all nations And collects to himself all peoples.

Habakkuk 2:5 - Nueva Biblia Latinoamericana de Hoy

Además, el vino traiciona al hombre arrogante,
De modo que no se queda en casa.
Porque ensancha su garganta como el Seol (regiòn de los muertos),
Y es como la muerte, que nunca se sacia;
