Isaiah 6:2 - Additional Comments
The term "seraphim" literally means "burning ones", probably because of their bright, possibly flaming appearance.
Read Revelation 4, and paint a visual picture of the scene described. What is described here is similar.
It is believed that the four creatures in Rev 4:6-8 were seraphim, since they each had six wings, were near God's throne, and were saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!". In Revelation, they had the appearances of a lion, a calf, a man, and an eagle, and were "were full of eyes around and within."
