James 3:6

And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

How destructive fire is, how destructive the spoken word can be! The evil in the tongue is initiated by demons, and fueled by demons. They know if they can affect our words, they affect our entire life (vs 2).
