James 4:11

Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Verses 1-2 talk about the wars and fights among the people. What is a primary cause of these wars and fights? Thinking evil of others, and then speaking evil of others. This often comes in the form of blaming others for problems that you have. You need to look at yourself, at where you have failed, without being so quick to look at the faults in others. Do you have a problem in your marriage? Look at yourself. In your work? Look at yourself. With others in the church, your neighbors, other parents, other shoppers, etc,? Look at yourself first. Are you willing to accept blame, or are you always looking at how the other person is the problem? We are commanded not to speak evil of others! Accept responsibility for your actions!
Do you hate being corrected? Do you accept what someone says, and take it to heart, to see what changes you need to make? Or do you ignore any such attempts? Have people tried to tell you things you need to work on, but you are unapproachable?
Be careful about judging others - Romans 2:1-3 warns us about that which we judge others we ourselves do.
