Jeremiah 16:5

For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD, even lovingkindness and mercies.

Jeremiah 16:5 - Additional Comments

Their sin went on for so long and was to greivous to God that He actually removed His peace, love, and mercy from them. He never actually removes His love from people, but He can remove the benefits of that love, which is what God is referring to here.
