For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily.

Instead of prophesying now, all Jeremiah could do was to cry out at what they were doing to him - violence and destruction (e.g. vs 2).
What was it that made Jeremiah a daily reproach and who was daily mocked? It was the word of God. Jeremiah was right, and all those who mocked were wrong.
