John 1:36 - Additional Comments

The Lamb symbolizes Jesus as the Passover Lamb, the substitute for sins. This is prophetic, because He had not yet given His life - He was not yet the sacrifice. He still held the title of the Lamb of God, because He was the Lamb who would shed His blood for sins. This term must have confused them at this time.
