John 11:25 - Additional Comments

The question to ask of any religion is whether it has power over death. Many religions and philosophies have speculated about what happens after death. Some believe that we cease to exist, others believe in an endless cycle of lives and deaths. The great hope of the Christian faith is the resurrection of the dead.
Christianity stands or falls upon an historical event: the life, death and resurrection of it's founder (1 Cor 15:3-8,14,17). Everything Christ was & taught, was going to be either true or false based upon whether He rose from the dead. Matt 16:21, 17:9, John 2:18-22
Christ has control over life and death. He is the ruler and giver of life.
How are we to respond to Him? Believe that He rose from the dead (Romans 4:24), and believe in Him, and it will be credited to us as righteousness. And to believe only in Him for eternal life (John 14:6, Acts 4:12).
