John 13:10 - Additional Comments
When we become a Christian, we are fully washed (Titus 3:5). Then, we need only wash the recent dirt, i.e. confess our recent sins, to be cleansed (1 John 1:7-9).
The disciples were already clean (see John 15:3).
Christ presents the church as purified, clean, washed (Eph 5:25-27).
