John 9:3 - Additional Comments

You can get a lot of info off the Internet, and there are people with some great knowledge of trivia. There are How To books and trivia books and lists of all sorts of things. But nothing compares to the knowledge Jesus had! Jesus has all knowledge. Amazing -- He knew why this man was born blind. This is something no man could have known. The disciples could have asked Him anything, and He could have answered them.
What do you think about this man being born blind for this reason? Was God cruel to this man? God is not fair. He never promised equal satisfactions or opportunities, even to become a Christian.
God intervened in this man's life, but it was years and years before God did. And, there are others lives for whom He doesn't provide miraculous changes. We need to be content in any circumstance we find ourselves in, no matter how challenging (Phil 4:11). The only other alternative is to live in discontent! Paul certainly lives with some challenging circumstances, and yet he determined to be content. We should never find ourselves in a position where we can't be content, even in dire circumstances. Of course, we can desire better, but we must be satisfied with God's choice for us -- it is the best.
