Luke 14:26 - Additional Comments
Great crowds were now following Jesus (vs 25). Jesus is laying out (vss 26-35) the terms of discipleship to the crowds that have been following Him, to make sure, before they take it on, they understand that it is a commitment and needs to be our top priority.
Do we follow Him with the crowd, or have we made a commitment that even when the crowds aren't there, we are committed to Him?
Here Jesus says to be committed to Him, we must value Him over family, even over our own life. There must be nothing that comes between Him and us.
So, what things in your life come between Him and you?
