Luke 19:35 - Additional Comments

Jesus went forward to Jerusalem knowing full well what He would face there. If we saw what lay ahead in our life, we might not head in the same direction, because of the pain, even though it was for the best. God in His perfect wisdom chooses not to reveal too much about the future to us. Yet, we must never back down from doing what He wishes for us to do, even if the prospects are grim.
Note the sacrifice people are making for Jesus without question. First, the owners of the colt gave it to Him, and then the disciples gave their own clothes so Jesus would have a seat on the colt, and so Jesus and the colt would have a decent path to travel on (vs 36).
