Luke 19:40 - Additional Comments

All of heaven and the universe praise Him. If only the Pharisees could have seen that. Even if we fail to praise Him, He is still being praised. Yet, this shows how critical it is that we praise Him, for that is our place (to praise) and His place (to be praised). This is the most important part of prayer.
Maybe the Pharisees expected Jesus, in His humility, to not accept praise. Humility is not being low, but have a true and proper view of self. If we are humble, we will esteem others as more important than ourselves, but we also won't have a poor view or ourselves, since God has a high view of each of us. Jesus was perfectly humble, yet He still accepted praise, since He was worthy of praise, and was the King. He was not being prideful, since accepting His role as King did not put others down; and, he was being accurate.
